As you remember, I was working on this project for my friends who got married a few weeks ago. Actually, I think they got married a month ago. I had finished most of the couple's parts, but was still busy working on the cake. The two-tiered cake was too small and completely out of proportion, so after showing it to my mom/dad, they advised me to add one more tier to make it a little even with the height of the couple.
This was my first idea for the card I was creating:
It was supposed to be on hard cardboard, and then I would make it into something like a frame... but when I weighted the cake&couple it was WAY too heavy for a card.
I decided then, I would make it into a box:
The idea started working pretty well, so I went along with creating the box and buying all the needed material for it. I made quite few mistakes with box #1, so I had to do it all over again. I was lucky none of the foam stuff broke, but it was a pain ...
This is the box cover:
Here are the details on the sides (all around is the same)
and the front:
(C&E are the initials of this couple)
Now that I published it in here I've seen some mistakes I need to fix, but for all those of you whom I've told you about the box, this is what it looks like and I hope you like it.
